Molecular study (polymerase chain reaction – PCR – real time), highly sensitive and specific, which simultaneously detects and amplifies specific regions of the most common viral or bacterial genomes associated with respiratory infections in children and adults.
Who is the test indicated for?
Patients with fever or feverish sensation/chills, cough, sore throat, nasal congestion and discharge, myalgia, headache, anorexia, wheezing, shortness of breath, bronchitis or pneumonia.

Test considerations
Sample type: Nasopharyngeal swab.
Delivery time for results: 4-5 hours (sample received at multimedica) In other centers (delivery time will be indicated upon receipt of the sample)
